B.S.  Environmental Studies: Warren Wilson College

Paige is a native of western North Carolina who has always enjoyed outdoor activities, leading to her interest in a career in an environmental field. During college Paige interned with the Natural Resource Conservation Service and upon her graduation in December 2013 accepted a position as a soil conservationist in eastern North Carolina, where she primarily worked with agricultural producers to treat natural resource concerns. She administered voluntary conservation programs including EQIP, CSP and CRP. She also worked for NRCS in Wisconsin for two years, and thus gained experience and familiarity working with a wide variety of conservation practices on different types of operations and in different environments and landscapes. Desiring to return to her Appalachian roots, Paige took several months off to through-hike the Appalachian Trail and recently began working as an environmental specialist at BFEC in February 2018
