BFEC’s Engineering Division is currently seeking candidates for the position of Engineering Technician. Entry level and internship applicants are welcome.

Job Description
Engineering Technicians
are needed to use their knowledge and experience in engineering and CAD software (Autodesk Civil 3D) to provide support to the various disciplines within the company. Typical tasks include preparation of site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans. SWPPP’s, stream and wetland restoration and stormwater BMP design, preparation of engineering details and specifications, preparation of materials required for permitting and construction documents, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for design and permitting.

All positions are expected to be multi-disciplinary, assisting fellow team members with tasks such as data collection, project implementation, environmental monitoring, and construction management as needed. The desire to learn new skills and to advance your current understanding of different environmental components is a must!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Academic degree in engineering or related environmental sciences (or have equivalent work experience)
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D; GPS and Total Station surveying equipment
  • Have strong communication skills, attention to detail and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
